I've just been catching up... why do men do that? I've had a situation recently that went thus: Me - do you want to see me or not? (exasperated) Him - yes. Do you want to come over? Me - Yes. Me - So when's good for you? Him - makes up BS cockamamie excuse about not having time/space/energy. Me - puts Him on 'Dead to Me' list. Repeat ad nauseam...
Guys like that are so good at sucking away your energy, and terrible at seeing when they're at fault. Grrr!
Well with Dick I think it's all about about control. I also think that Dick likes to keep me at arm's length and live in some fantasy of what once was. If he actually saw me that illusion would be destroyed. Or he's just afraid. Either way it's just dull, but at least I got a rather entertaining blog out of it.
Yeah, that's definitely an upside. I hadn't thought about it being a control thing. I'd love to be inside the head of someone who does that, if only to see which way the tumbleweed is blowing :-)
Control, fear, and insecurity- perhaps these are the factors that make men like this behave the way they do. I think if we were to get inside their heads there would probably only be a lot of hot air blowing those tumbleweeds to and fro. :)
